Diamond Ordered To Pay $48,161

August 2, 2019

A hearing presented in the first court of instance, Tenerife, Canary Islands on the 30th July, M1 legal reported another victory in favour of M1 Legal against Diamond Resorts.

There were in total 3 contractual names involved in this case:

Diamond Resorts Europe Limited Sucursal En España
Sunterra Tenerife Sales SL
Diamond Resorts Tenerife Sales SL.

The contracts did not include the minimum accommodation requirements, what the client had purchased and when they could use it.

The judge declared all three contracts null and void and also considered that the total price of the contracts was paid during the cooling off period which again is an illegal practice in Spain.

Diamond Resorts were ordered to pay double the amount back to the client totaling $48,161 plus legal interest.

Another great result for our Spanish partners M1 Legal and their client.
