Furthermore, you could try to advertise your timeshare of sites like craigslist or eBay but the success rate for selling this way is extremely low, you will actually see people offering their timeshare for just $1 to simply remove themselves from the burden of yearly maintenance fees.

STEP 4: You can always try communicating with your resort to see if there is an option to simply hand it back but be ready for a negative response. Timeshare resorts survive mainly on annual maintenance fees, so the more difficult they make it for you as an owner, the more monies they can hold on to.
